My name is Alan Mora. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, but grew up in Southern California. I’ve always had this thing for noticing stuff—finding the extraordinary in the everyday. Life can be so pretty when you pay attention. I always liked taking pictures on my phone, but it wasn’t until 2015 that I got serious about taking pictures. A photographer friend let me borrow his film camera, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Now, 10 years later, taking pictures has become my way of finding peace. Whether it’s old friends, new faces, or the places I’ve been—California, New York, and everywhere in between—I’m always capturing those little moments that matter to me.”
